Starting out in music during his adolescence, this bassist from Elche (Alicante, Spain) born at the beginning of the eighties, decides at the age of 19 to move to Madrid in order to develop his musical career. This stage provides him the opportunity to receive classes from remarkable musicians as renowned as Joaquín Chacón, Pepe Rivero, Miguel Blanco, Yayo Morales, Eva Gancedo, Chema Vílchez or Antonio Ramos “El Maca”, among others. At the same time, he is lucky enough to work and collaborate with national musicians, such as Dani Reus (Gospel Factory), David “El Indio” (Vetusta Morla), Martín García (Muchachito Bombo Infierno) and music bands as La Pegatina, Canteca de Macao or Son de Nadie. Throughout his stay in capital city, he becomes a member of the native band Funkgus with whom beats the 5th Annual of the contest “Rock en la Gruta”. Thanks to this award, they were able to record their third production at Infinity Studios under the technical supervision of Pablo Baselga. Besides, he toured with them for several years around Spain and learned the trade of Road-manager. After seven years living in Madrid, he got his Intermediate Level in Jazz at Escuela de Música Creativa , and seasoned both Live and Studio experiences as a musician. Therefore, he moved to the Netherlands in 2008 in order to get his Degree Level in Bass Guitar at Codarts, Conservatory from Rotterdam. Under Jeroen Vierdag leadership, he begins in Jazz Department to eventually end up in World Music Department, where he finally obtained his Degree in the speciality of Flamenco Bass with the distinguished Paco Peña as managerial. As well as working with the extensive and illustrious members of each department, he could also take part in several masterclasses with artists as Richard Bona, Andy González, Diego del Morao, Arcángel, Diego Amador or Panagiotis Andreou, among others. Professionally at this Dutch stage, he had experiences with all kinds of music from Latin-jazz to Argentinian tango, apart from, for instance, going through Turkish, Indian, Mexican folk, or Afro-funk. Thanks to the “bailaora” (flamenco dancer) Irene Álvarez, the “cantaora” (flamenco singer) Carmen Fernández, and the collaboration with the band Flamenco Verkeerd, he also developed his facet as a soloist bass along those years. After this long journey which took twelve years, he finally got back to his country in 2013. He has worked with Oscar Díez (lead guitarist of Pignoise), and 3 years with the cover band Colt45. Currently, he teaches Bass, Music Theory, and Ensemble at Musical & Cultural Association “Casa Sofía” in Altet (Spain); being he himself both headmaster and coordinator of it.
